Timmy didn’t get an easy start. He and his siblings were found in Mexico living in a pile of trash, trying to survive. When Mutt Scouts rescued him, he was battling distemper, but he pulled through with no noticeable lasting effects.
In foster care, he’s discovered routines, toys, adventure, and the comfort of people who show up for him. He’s learning what it feels like to be safe and cared for, maybe for the first time. Timmy has come a long way, but his most important chapters are still ahead. He’s ready for the family who will help him grow and finally give him a place to belong.
Timmy is an 8+ month old puppy who’s ready to find his forever home. He’s a dog who wants to be where the action is—by your side, involved, and soaking up every moment. He loves other dogs, adores people, and his high-energy, happy-go-lucky nature makes him the perfect adventure companion.
But once he’s had a long walk, some good playtime, or enrichment to work his brain, he’s just as happy to wind down. Timmy eats and sleeps quietly in his crate and loves a good nap after he’s gotten his energy out. We’re looking for an active family who wants the joy and reward of rescuing a young dog and helping shape the rest of his story.
We don’t know Timmy’s exact breed mix, but based on his handsome features, we think he’s likely a Husky/Shepherd blend. What we do know is that he’s a busy body who thrives with activity and engagement. Timmy will do best with a committed, active owner who wants a dog by their side for all of life’s adventures.
Timmy is still a young pup learning how to be a dog in a home. He can be mildly mouthy at times, which is normal for his age. With patience, structure, and clear boundaries, he has every bit of potential to grow into an incredibly good boy.
Because of his age and current “learning phase,” Timmy would likely do best with older children or adults who can keep reinforcing his training. As for other dogs, he’s friendly and social but has a rough-and-tumble play style. Any future dog siblings should be confident and able to match his energy in a safe, balanced way.
